The Art Witch Blog

I’m a mythical artist, photographer, designer, intuitive and all-around creative based in the Norwegian mountains and this is my blog.

This is where I share my creative expression and do my best to inspire, empower, share tips and information, and give the occasional kick in the butt so you can have a more fulfilling life. You’ll also find a lot of art, some behind the scenes and works in progress, as well as some strong opinions, and a swear word or two. If you enjoy the posts, please share them.

Looking Great (not)

Looking Great (not)

Isn't this a great look for me? Actually, I'm well aware that it isn't looking great 😀 An umbrella would look a lot better. But it's been raining for days, and my hands can't hold onto anything for very long these days. There was actually a pretty huge flood...

Origami Spoon

Origami Spoon

I was in a hurry when I bought my yoghurt before jumping on the train home. So I failed to notice that there was no spoon. After a Google search, I found this tutorial for an Origami Spoon:  http://ow.ly/64mAv and made my own using an index card. It worked out just...

Kristin på Husaby: On my way home

Kristin på Husaby: On my way home

The Kristin på Husaby market is over, and I'm on my way home. I made enough to cover the cost of the stall, but that's about it. My reason for being there was to be seen and remembered. So I don't really mind. It's been a great weekend, and I've met a lot of really...

Kristin på Husaby: Tent is up

Kristin på Husaby: Tent is up

The first day at Kristin på Husaby is over. I didn't make lots of money, but I hope to have gotten the market fee back before tomorrow's done. We've all packed up our merchandise and gone to where we're staying for the night. I don't have a driver's license yet, so I...

Kristin på Husaby: First day at the market

Kristin på Husaby: First day at the market

I was lucky enough to get a ride here this morning, with hubs. Because he and Lilith decided to go to her grandparents. I got here around nine this morning. When I met the staff, they told me my stall neighbour wasn't coming, so I could have the whole stall to myself....

Super Stressful at Work

Super Stressful at Work

I won't be checking social media as often this week. It's super hectic and stressful at work, because I have to answer the phone every time it rings, and since the students are returning next week, there are a lot of calls. I also have to finish umpteen user guides...

Wishcasting Wednesday: What door do you wish to open?

Wishcasting Wednesday: What door do you wish to open?

I wish to be able to open the door for ME. To be able to be who I feel I am, to do what I feel I should be doing, and still make a reasonable living doing so. I feel I should be creating, painting, crafting, drawing, reading, writing, exploring seiðr and Norse magic...

Creative Every Day: Rails

Creative Every Day: Rails

I joined the Creative Every Day 2011 Challenge a while ago, but I can't say I've been good at checking in. So I thought I'd start doing so today. This is a picture I took using my phone and edited in SnapBucket. For those who don't know it, it's like Instagram for...

Portrait of a Goddess

Portrait of a Goddess

A couple of weeks ago I got an idea for a mixed media painting (acrylics and glitter glue). After struggling with the nose, I’m finally finished. It's a portrait of a goddess. Not any particular deity, or even the one in me, just a goddess. The painting was made with...

The Last Weekend

The Last Weekend

Well, it's here. The last weekend of my vacation. Where did those four weeks go? They never last long enough. I could do with a permanent vacation. Then I could plan larger projects. At least I got some things done this time. I'm on time with my preparations for the...
