Self-portraits are so hard to do

For the last couple of days, I’ve been trying to take new self-portraits to use on my website and it hasn’t been easy. It’s even harder than I thought it would be. Apparently, I have a lot to learn about making interesting self-portraits.

Challenging myself by trying a dip pen for the first time

I haven’t used dip pens with real ink before so this was a new experience. In this art challenge, I jump in and use a dip pen with 6 different nibs to create a drawing of a bird. Come along and try it yourself.

What I want more of in 2019

I don’t do resolutions because, from my experience, they’re pretty useless. So I haven’t posted any anywhere. I have written down some art goals for the year though, which I want to share with you.
