The Art Witch Blog
I’m a mythical artist, photographer, designer, intuitive and all-around creative based in the Norwegian mountains and this is my blog.
This is where I share my creative expression and do my best to inspire, empower, share tips and information, and give the occasional kick in the butt so you can have a more fulfilling life. You’ll also find a lot of art, some behind the scenes and works in progress, as well as some strong opinions, and a swear word or two. If you enjoy the posts, please share them.

Lots going on
I hope you don't feel as if I've neglected this blog because that was never my intention. There are just so many things going on right now, that I haven't had the energy to write more than I had to. I've been putting up the Sassy Girl site and writing copy for it....
Guest Post, What Can the Runes Tell Us About Achieving Goals
The new year is well underway. If you have set goals that you hope to accomplish over the next ten months, how do you plan to do it? All too often, people set goals or make resolutions without any real plan to address them. For some, it may seem silly to turn to Runes...

Osteoarthritis: Shoulder Checkup
Those of you who are following me on social media know that I had surgery to stabilize my left shoulder in August and that I tore something in that shoulder when I fell in a staircase in December. After that, my shoulder got more mobile, which was odd, and I thought...
Need to get to the core of the issue? Use Tarot
We often think we know what the problem is, but sometimes the cause of the problem, or the core, is something completely different. Unless we deal with that, we won't get rid of the problem. When we do deal with it, it might solve several different issues in our...
Helping Herbs – Get Some Sleep
You've probably heard it said before, but have you been paying attention? Sleep is crucial for your health and well-being! If you don't get enough sleep, if it's broken up or if it's shallow, you're going to have problems sooner or later. It can cause physical illness...

Another take on rune readings
Anne Reith shows how she does her rune readings. I also use my own intuition, in addition to the runes themselves, but I don't use coloured glass runes. And most of the time, I pull or cast the runes myself. I'm also not psychic, so I don't see things when doing a...
Breaking for Garden Plans
I'm taking a short break from the subjects I've been sticking to this month, to touch on one of my hobbies; Gardening and my garden plans. I've got about 1600 m2/17000 sq.ft to play with. This year will mostly be about cleaning up after last year's weed invasion. I...
Don’t Improve Yourself; Improve What You Do
This morning, I received an email from a listserv I joined recently. Until today, I found its emails to be interesting and inspiring. However, this email subject said, “Start Improving Yourself Today”. I didn’t want to open it. “Start Improving Yourself Today” implies...
Talion, the budgie
Sibylle, who's a dear friend of mine, once suggested I should draw her budgies. So here's the first; Talion. He's a blue and white budgie and I have him sitting on his perch, but I removed the cage. Size: 30.5 x 22.9 cm
Guest Post, Edith Mary Stanley – The Power of Reiki Healing & Art
Art impacts every area of our lives. From Television to popular magazines to billboards. We never forget anything we see. It files away in the Rolodex of our brain, but the impact is made from the moment we see it. For good or bad we are affected. The impact may be...
