Being a mother, and a female entrepreneur, I know the term ‘busy day‘. We all have them. These teas can help you when you feel like you’re in over your head. I’m not saying you shouldn’t work on your to-do-list, but these help you simmer down, so you can get the headspace needed to do that.
Chamomile is probably the most well-known herb when you want to relax. It’s also widely available. In addition to calming you down during the day, it can also help you sleep in the evening.
Lemon Balm makes you feel good. It’s a milder version of a happy pill. It also calms you down.
St John’s Wort can be a good supporter if you’re really frayed, and stressed out. But it does have some less than favorable interactions with some conventional drugs.
There are also ready-made blends, like for example Pukka Relax If you need help with your to-do-list, I recommend looking up Rachel Cornell at ProNagger. She has a program coming up that does just that.
Linda such a good information, I love the herbs and always use them.
Thanks Shasheta 🙂 Me too
Love herbal teas. Great way to relax.
Thanks Beth 🙂
Did not know that you could drink St. Johns Wort in tea form–I’ve only seen capsules. How does it taste?
And thanks for the link to the Pro Nag site! What an interesting idea.
I haven’t had to use it, since I don’t have those kinds of problems. But it’s been used as a spice in liquor as well, so I can’t imagine it tastes bad.
Great ideas. I’ve always loved Chamomile and recently developed a special fondness for white tea!
White tea is also good 🙂 I love tea in most forms
Good info gf! Do those have caffeine in them?
No. They work the other way around 🙂 Most of the Pukka teas just have herbs, but they do have a morning tea, and a revitalizing tea, that really wakes you up 🙂
Funnily enough, I am just about to indulge in an organic detox with ginger right now. I used to only drink camomile, but since discovering a few others, I have broadened my horizons.
Exploring new herbs can be quite exciting 🙂 Ginger has many good uses
