In this episode, I will talk about your and my creative intentions for the new year. Any and all links are in the show notes, so let’s get going.

22 - What are your creative intentions in 2016

by Linda Ursin | Creative Explorer Podcast

What are your creative intentions in 2016?

Can you believe it’s already 2016? If you haven’t already, it’s time to reflect on what went well last year. What you want to keep and what you want to let go of. If it feels right, do a small ritual to let go of last year, so you don’t dwell on what happened. You could for example write down a lost of the bad things and burn it.

Since you’re listening to this, I’m guessing you’d like to be more creative, or create more freely. That means you need to set some creative intentions too, not just business success intentions.

Decide what you want to create this year, how often you want to have some time to create for fun and not just for business. You should also decide if it’s time to bring that creativity into your business, and how you want to do that. It doesn’t have to be detailed, and it’s not set in stone. But having that intention helps you plan for the time you need to do it.

What would you love to do this year? Decide what it is, what you need to learn and if you need any support, and then go after it.

Today’s inspirational words are by Nora Ephron, and she said: “Be the heroine of your life, not the victim”

Today’s Creative Prompt is to write down your creative intentions for 2016

What are your creative intentions for the year?

What’s changing?

I’m simplifying my business in 2016, removing some things and making others more efficient. I’m also tweaking my services and adjusting my prices, so there will be some changes. The prices of all products, services and artwork were adjusted on the 4th, and other changes will be made throughout January. Some examples are:

  • A new blog schedule
  • A different format for the emails
  • Less 1-on-1 work and more group work
  • The workshops are returning

The biggest change is that I’m not calling it coaching anymore because it isn’t. It’s intuitive creative guidance to bring out the powerful chick you know you are.

As part of the simplification, the podcast will be bi-weekly since I’m running a second podcast too, and the episodes will be videos that are published on YouTube as well as the blog and iTunes. I’m also changing the intro and outro of the podcast to be more me.

I’ll be a lot less scripted and edited, so you’ll get more of me, even if that includes bloopers. This also means that the show notes won’t be a word for word transcription of the episode. In short, I’ll be doing more of what I want to do and less of what I don’t want to do, which will allow me to help you better.

That’s it for me for today. Thanks for taking the time to check out the Creative Explorer Podcast. The next episode will, among other things, be about creating freedom and happiness in your business.
