Today’s rune from the Elder Futhark is Pertra or Perthro (sound value: p).
Pertra represents earth, soil and minerals, and it stands for things that are hidden, knowledge of the future, going through transitions/initiations, commitment, mystery, learning secrets, keeping secrets. Pertra is the rune I use instead of the popular blank rune, which there is no historical record of. It was invented by Ralph Blum.
Merkstave: Stagnation, not being privied to information, not being able to keep secrets.
