Ever thought of using braids in magic? When it comes to binding, most of us only consider knots. But braids can be used for the same purpose. The same way you can bind power, beads and other things in a knot, you can weave it into a braid.
One example of a power braid is that where you’d tie 9 knots to a rhyme, you can braid 9 strands, and maybe add 9 beads with even intervals. Just in case you’d like to have those points to refer to. One positive thing about using braids is that a braid is something you can wear in your hair, without having to cut it off afterwards. They also attract less attention, if you prefer not to be public about what you do. If you’re not familiar with braiding, here are a couple of examples of techniques.
3 strands5 strandsYou can use the same technique for any odd number of strands (7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and so on). 10 strands/5 loopsYou can use the same technique for any odd number of loops (7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and so on), but it gets harder after 9 since you only have ten fingers. |

I’ve always loved braiding. I use it semi frequently in crafts but never thought of it this way. 🙂
I love learning new methods, both for braiding and other crafts. I’ve used it this way before, but I haven’t done much of this kind of work lately.
I never considered braiding for a B, great idea! I know that it has deep connections with the fates and weaving away. I’ll have to braid something now, thanks : )
To be honest, I had a hard time coming up with something for B, but it dropped into my head at the last minute.
I struggle with even 9 so definitly need more practice here!
I think most of us do
