The new blog schedule I’ve created has set aside Wednesdays for inspiration and empowerment. I know I’m re-using a Sassy Saying here, but it’s so true it’s worth saying again:

Would you rather fit in, or would you rather be who you came here to be?

~Rikka Zimmermann

There is only one of YOU. Stop trying to fit into other people’s molds, and start creating the one that fits YOU. The longer you try to live up to other people’s expectations, the more miserable you’ll get.

So buck up and be the best version of YOU that you can be!

You’ll thank yourself later. If you’re already heading in this direction, leave me a comment, and then share this for those who haven’t come as far as you.

I’d much rather be who I came here to be! This was a lifelong process for me, though, and it’s what I now help others with. Sharing :).

This is so true, but so hard to do! Only when I got to my 30’s did I start to be my true self. It’s hard to do, but people respect you more for it!

I set my alarm clock 10 minutes earlier every morning, this is my time for meditation and positive thoughts: and the days begin better!

I make sure I have at least an hour before I have to leave. Teaching my daughter to take it easy in the morning 🙂

We really need to be ourselves but it can take awhile to discover who we really are. I’m still learning.

It does take a while to get clear on who you are, and what you want 🙂 Bu it’s worth it

Love this saying – certainly worth repeating. Each day I work to stay true to my vision. Some days the path may be rocky – but each day I know I’m working hard to be the best version of ME possible.

I love being ME which means being different from everyone else. Important post – young girls need to hear this!

Hi Linda! Absolutely loved your post. Thanks for the reminder to keep focusing on being the me I came here to be. It’s so much better being ME than worrying about fitting in.

Being me is what characterize me of who I am. I love this sometimes people just focus their in living a life or being someone who does not fit them.

Love this, Linda! And yes, it’s not easy, and yes it’s so liberating when you have small victories over what everyone around you wants you to be. I’m still learning 😉
