This drawing of a Great Tit (Parus major) was something I’ve thought of doing for a while now. I got the idea to do this little bird from watching the ones in our backyard. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing quite a few of these from our kitchen window.
Since it is winter, and it’s been very cold lately, we’ve been feeding the birds a little extra so they’ll be able to stay warm. The drawing is made on sketch pad paper with pencil and coloured pencils. I had to borrow a couple from my daughter because I didn’t have the right yellow.
I really thought this was a photograph, Linda! Love it. We have great tits in our garden in the summer, but they’ve gone now. And they were never as vibrant as yours, having only a tinge of yellow to them. I miss their lovely wee song.
Thanks 🙂 I’m glad you liked it.
We have quite a few here. They’re loyal visitors at the birdfeeders, and although they have two big blobs of yeallow, the drawing is more bright than the birds outside.
Love this drawing, beautiful colours xxx
Thanks 🙂
