I want to share the beauty of the village I live in with you. The village is called Soknedal. The name means something like ‘parish valley’, but it comes from the river Sokna flowing at the bottom of the valley. I’ve lived here since 2006 and loved it ever since. We live on the side of the valley, at about 300 m/984 ft above sea level. The picture up top is a compilation of the view from our first-floor kitchen in summer.
