When we returned from the grocery store on Saturday, we were greeted by a howling smoke alarm.
We went looking for the source of this and finally found it. One of our radiators had burst, and there was oil on the floor. No fire, just light smoke. We couldn’t even see the smoke. Proof of a working smoke detector. Jonny threw the heater out and cleaned up, while Lilith and I put the groceries away. I guess our hallway will be cold for a while. Next time we’ll buy an induction radiator for the hallway as well ( we have one in the living room). After the reports came out about oil filled radiators, we haven’t bought any more. We still have two though. But they don’t get as much use as the one that burst.
