I’d like to encourage all Norwegians to sign this petition. We’ve waited far too long for this to get done. Animal welfare shouldn’t be the responsibility of the ones who also have to monitor our food. They don’t have the capacity to do both.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to protest against the term “human tragedy”, which is used when animals are mistreated on a larger scale. It isn’t a human tragedy. Humans didn’t suffer, ANIMALS did! Any human who isn’t able to take care of their animals due to illness or other factors has the option to ask for help. There’s NO excuse!
