The last week I’ve been working on my first painting in many, many years. I got the idea straight out of the blue, after having a total drought for any ideas whatsoever for a long time. Now, I’m almost finished, but I’ve hit a snag. The same snag I always hit when painting faces. How on Earth do I get that nose tip right? Here’s a picture of what it looks like now. Painting noses is hard!
When it’s all finished, I’ll put a slide show up on YouTube. I’m quite pleased with the shadowing but unfortunately, it doesn’t really show in this picture. I hope one of my artist friends can help me with this. I’m painting on canvas with acrylics if that helps. It is a mixed media painting in that I’ve used glitter glue but otherwise, it’s exclusively acrylic paint.
If you have any ideas for solutions for painting the tip of a nose, send me an email, comment or send me a PM somewhere. I need to finish this, to be able to get on with the rest of the things I need to get done.
