Yesterday, I had the idea of doing some small paintings. Paintings on a smaller scale than I normally paint. Smaller than the Toad, which is 21 x 14,8 cm (8.3 x 5.8 inches) but not as small as the squirrel I posted on Redbubble. The original for that one is only 6,5 × 8 cm (2.5 × 3 inches).

What do you think of that idea?

Why on Earth would I create small paintings?

The reason for this is that I want to make some originals that are accessible to everyone. Where the size of the space on your walls and the size of your wallet don’t matter

Another idea for these is to have them permanently at ‘karma pricing’. No set price on my end, you set the price yourself. Should you want one of them on a larger scale, I will, of course, add them as prints on Redbubble.

Does this idea of making small paintings sound good to you?

Or maybe you think I’ve gone completely bonkers 😀 Either way, I want to hear from you before I start creating these. Leave a comment below.

I haven’t decided anything else about these small paintings. I don’t know if they will be on canvas, MDF, or paper or if they will be acrylics, watercolour or mixed media. I haven’t even decided if they’ll be representational “slash” figurative or abstract. That all comes later but they may end up being a bit of everything.
