I’m declaring Friday my self-care day. I’ve been neglecting my self-care lately and blaming it on being too busy. That’s not an excuse; we can all find at least 5 minutes in a day to do some self-care. I’ve decided to block off an entire day for this.
I will not be working with clients on Fridays, the only exception will be emergency calls from existing clients. Instead, I will be taking extra good care of myself. Today, I’ll be taking a long walk, then a long shower, followed by some sorely needed skin care. Then I’ll just lounge around until the afternoon when my daughter comes home. She’s stayed over at daycare since yesterday. They do that with all the kids who start school that year.
Good question, Linda. Walk today is looking unlikely as we’re in a middle of a lightning storm so I will commit to skin care and working on Danielle LaPorte’s Desire Map (which is really good btw).
Sounds good 🙂 I’ve got her Firestarter Sessions, and I should really read it again 🙂
Hi Linda,
That’s the best thing you can really do 🙂
Love your decision to take a complete day off to take care of your own-self…something we all need to do. Good reminder for me too.
Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day and lovely weekend 🙂
Thank you for sharing it, and have a lovely week 🙂
That sounds lovely. I hope you had a great day of recharging your batteries!
I’m mixing work with self-care this weekend. During the week I’m too tired and lazy in the evenings to do much housework, so this weekend I’ll get that done, including cleaning the aviary. But I’ll also have time to just relax, and this afternoon I’m going to a friend’s mead-making workshop 🙂
This is something I should do for ME, too! I neglect my body so badly… I’m surprised it hasn’t made me pay worse for the neglect! LOL
Enjoy your pampering, Linda!
P.S. Your CommentLuv isn’t working. 🙁
I would take a bath with a glass of wine 🙂
That’s good too 🙂
