I finally got around to fixing those mittens. Now there’s one left and one right mitten, and I’m able to use them.
I was so close to running out of the purple yearn before finishing, that I didn’t think I’d be able to. Fortunately, I was wrong. I finished with 10 cm to spare. I reused most of the yearn I used to knit it in the first place, but there was some loss where I’d fastened the ends.
