A lot of us start off with the best of intentions when it comes to self-care. But somehow we let procrastination and bad prioritizing get the better of us. There are three things that are essential if you’re going to be able to stick to the self-care you set out to do.

  1. Keep it simple; Start with something small, and keep it short. Once it’s a habit, you can expand on it.
  2. Schedule; Put it in your schedule, and keep it there as non-negotiable me-time.
  3. Prioritize; Make yourself the priority. You have to come first, to be able to function in the long run.

What kind of self-care would you like to make a habit?

I’m currently trying to create a new skin care habit.

Hehe, I just wrote an article about habits for next week’s Monday Sparkles. Great minds think alike 🙂
Like you say, I think it’s important to change habits one at a time and give it enough time to establish the new habit, before making another change. It’s tempting when you feel motivated to change EVERYTHING, but it rarely sticks.

Yes 🙂 Looking forward to reading it. Your Monday Sparkles are great! One thing at a time is the only way to make it stick.

Love the new look Linda! I am trying to take a moment out of every day and just absorb myself, reach deep down inside, and embrace myself. Make sense? I have to do this for me in order to keep my sanity. 🙂
