After painting the Macaws, I wanted to do something that took a bit less time and was a bit more spiritual. So I came up with this Birch tree. I’ve been wanting to paint it since I came across it on the side of the mountain, far above any others that size. Where most of the Birches are small and crooked stands this majestic Birch, and to me it feels like a special tree. So I decided to add a spirit to it.
You have to get up close to see it. This one is on a new material for me, vinyl. The kind you put on top of desks. It actually works very well for acrylics, as long as you remember to paint on the non-treated side.
