Are you a procrastinator? Do you drag your feet when it comes to getting things done? Do you procrastinate even the smallest thing? I must admit this is one of my biggest challenges; I can procrastinate anything. I’m lucky enough to have people snapping me out of it from time to time. Do you?
Having someone to hold you accountable, or at least snap you out of procrastination is essential if you’re a master procrastinator like me. Otherwise, you get stuck in being very busy doing absolutely nothing, and you get nowhere with your goals and dreams. Today I’d like to be the one telling you to
Snap out of it and just do it!
What have you been avoiding doing lately? Leave me a comment below.
I SO AGREE! And you feel SO much better afterwards, don’t you think?
It does feel a lot better once it’s done, yes 🙂
I’m a master procrastinator – usually when I have taken on far to much…
Always feels better just to sit down and get it done, thanks for the kick!
I recognize that. I also tend to take on more than I really should.
My procrastination tendencies come from fear. If I don’t have all the answers, if I don’t have all the tools or all the knowledge to go forward and do something – I procrastinate. When everything is not in place for me – then the feal of failure sneaks in for the attack! Working on it though.
Eydie 🙂
Good to hear you’re working on it 🙂 Mine isn’t fear, it’s more the comfort of not acting.
I am indeed VERY good at procrastinating. Fortunately, I have an accountability partner who I check in with on a daily basis. We tell each other what we want to accomplish that day and whether or not we did what we said the day before. It helps a lot!
Having an accountability partner or group is great 🙂
Luckily, I am on top of my procrastination for the week already!!! Last week, it was *bad*… I have found that if there is money involved, I’m a lot less likely to procrastinate. LOL!
I’m working on a schedule for myself. You see, I work from home (and also homeschool 4 kids!!), so I need a good groove so I can “have it all” as best I can. 🙂
I work at home as well 🙂 so I can see why you’d need that.
Well, I’ve procrastinated on making a dental implant appointment and getting a routine mammogram so far. Feel like I have to do all these other stuff first. OK, Linda, I’ll call to schedule those 2 appointments tomorrow morning.
Good that you’re getting them done! Those are pretty important
It’s amazing how much more appealing housework is when I’ve got something to procrastinate about like writing – it’s the only way my house gets clean 🙂
It’s pretty much the same here too, the exception is if someone is coming to visit.
Great post what I found to be effective is to stay in the now. Ask myself what can I do right now. Period then do it.
Cindy
That does help 🙂 Thanks
