Here’s a video I made on Monday. It shows you parts of the valley I live in, and asks you an important question:
Where do you belong?
Is there a place where you feel you belong?
By this I mean where do you want to live? Where do you feel at home? Is it in the city, where lots of things happen all at once, in a town, with a little slower pace, or in the countryside, like me. I meant to post it on Tuesday, but we had to rush off to the in-laws because hubs had to do some work out that way for a couple of days. Sorry about the wind noise; I was using my phone, and it apparently has some limitations I wasn’t aware of.
Now leave me a comment, either here or on YouTube, with your answer to that question. And please share this post by hitting the buttons below.
Linda, it was hard to hear you, but the land looks beautiful and calming. I can see myself living there for a short time, but I do need to be in a town with a little more hustle and bustle, although not too much.
Thanks for your answer. It is both beautiful and calming here 🙂 Sorry about the wind noise.
Ahhh! I learned years ago that living in the country has powerful benefits … even with a 45-minute commute into D.C. Thanks for the thought-provoking post.
Such a beautiful video! Thank you so much for sharing it 🙂
As for the question… that’s a tricky one. When I first came to Ireland 22 years ago, I knew 100% that I belonged here. Then I had to leave and lived in three different countries before my return eight years ago. And it’s like I’ve split my soul into several pieces (like Voldemort with his horcruxes, lol!), I don’t fully belong anywhere. But Ireland is still as close as it gets, and I love living here.
