Is there something you know it’s time to let go of?
Something that’s no longer resonating with you, something you don’t like, or that’s draining you?
If so, now’s the time to do it.
The waning Moon is the best time to go through your to-do list and other areas of your life, to see what you need to let go of. If you’re finding it hard to let go, try seeing it from a different perspective. What will your life look like in 5 years, if you hold on to it? You can also try to meditate or journal on it, to get clear and make the decision a bit easier.
What is a waning Moon?
Waning Moon means that the Moon is decreasing in size, it’s when the Moon goes from full to dark once again. This period lasts approximately two weeks.
Why the waning Moon?
Well, I am after all a witch 🙂 So it’s natural to me to recommend you do this at this time. That’s also why you see me write it with a capital M. In magic, the waning Moon is a time to let go of, send away, get rid of, or destroy things, feelings, and people you no longer wish to be a part of your life. It’s a time to break bad habits, addictions, end toxic or draining relationships, quit a bad job, getting rid of debt etc. It’s also a time to release negative emotions. In general, this is the time to reduce things.
H Linda,
Yes, this one hits home for me. In the midst of it now….How often does the moon wane?
It happens every Moon cycle, pretty much once a month 🙂
Reading your post I focused on this: it is time to get rid of: yes, I want to do it NOW!
Good 🙂
I’m going to spend some time decluttering my office of things I don’t use or need.

Good choice 🙂
I´ll get to work fast as I have a lot to let go off while I plan what to take on for 2014. 🙂
I have big plans for 2014, and a lot to leg go of as well 🙂 Good luck
Linda I never hear of this before, however, the moon is mysterious in many ways…
Yes, it is 🙂
Yes, it is 🙂
First time I hear about this, interesting stuff. And I guess it’s never NOT a good time to let go of things that do not serve you 😉
Just like a few other commenters, I am working on my 2014 goals, so it’s a great opportunity to see what stays and what leaves!
That’s true 🙂 The waning Moon is just an extra kick in the pants to do so 🙂
