I’m fortunate enough to live where we see Ravens off and on since I live in the mountains of Norway. We see them flying over the landscape and I think they’re beautiful. It had been a long time since I last created a Raven. It was time for another, and this time I wanted to paint it. I started this painting using only my fingers and paint and then finished it off with brushes. I enjoy finger painting, but I’m quite meticulous about my birds, so it needed some detail work.
This Raven is flying with snow covered mountains in the background. I wanted it to gradually emerge, so I only did details on the front of the bird, keeping the back more abstract. It was created in acrylics on MDF.
