Challenging myself by trying a dip pen for the first time

I love trying things I’ve never done before, so today it’s time for another art challenge. I am going to try my hand at using a dip pen.

I’ve never used one, at least not with proper ink. I’ve used some old ones with acrylic paint and watercolour but no to any extent.

Both the ink and the pens I’m using in this video are Speedball, primarily because they were cheap.

While doing the testing and drawing, I also touched on why I don’t like the word ‘humble’ and talk about the nibs I’m using. I did make a mess but not as much of a mess as I thought I would 😀
