My daughter Lilith wanted me to make a painting with a butterfly, so I did. This painting called “Butterfly Garden” took longer than expected, because I ran into a couple of problems, and had to go back over some areas, but now it’s finally finished. I didn’t go for realism, it was more the impression I was after with this one. I’ve never been patient enough for realism anyway. Lilith is happy with it, so I’m happy with it. It’s painted in acrylics on canvas. I also did some details with a pen and a fine-liner.
