The last three days of Spring have brought warmer weather, something that resulted in a small flood yesterday. This happened because the snow is melting like crazy and the road above our property hasn’t been very well maintained this winter. There was no harm done to any of our buildings, but we’re going to have to fix the driveway this summer. I’m glad we live in the countryside and that we know people with diggers and trucks.
Jonny dug three small trenches for the water to run through, so it would stop digging out our driveway. We then blocked the place where it was running, and that seems to have worked.
Here the trees are budding and daffodils blooming! Finally – two weeks ago we had snow. I love your interest in herbs!
That’ll happen late May here 🙂
Hi Linda, stopping by from UBC and so happy for you that spring is arriving. Where do you live? I am in Santa Barbara, CA and it seems to be eternally spring here (not gloating – only been here a year and it feels like such a precious gift.) My kids and I both miss the dramatic thunderstorms and occasional snow showers from Texas. Love the photos!
I’m in Norway 🙂 Spring here comes suddenly, and can be quite dramatic.
Isn’t that always the way – spring takes forever, and then it comes with a vengeance 🙂 I hope your feet will stay dry now!
Yes it is 🙂 It’ll take a while for this to dry up. There’s still al ot of snow that has to melt, but the worst of it should be over. Now we just have to put up with the mud 🙂
