The Diving Rose Dipper was inspired by Norway’s national bird, the White-throated Dipper. It’s called ‘rapids man’ in Norwegian and is the only bird in the sparrow family that feeds on aquatic life and plants.
This characteristically ‘curtseying’ bird is found along the rapids, streams, and brooks of Norway all year round. It’s always around running water, which is where it finds its food. It can dive and swim short distances underwater and it uses its wings to swim. Then it ‘walks’ upstream along the bottom to find insects, larvae, small fish, and vegetation.
The message it has for you is that sometimes, you might have to go against the current to get where you want to go. You may also have to dive into the unknown to get what you want.
