Now, I know I haven’t started working on the Major Arcana yet, but I want to have clarity about which bug gets to be on which card anyway, and you can help.
Look at the list of insects below and leave me a comment with your favorite insect for the Fool card.
If you’re unfamiliar with the interpretation of that card, I’ll give you a short summary:
It’s usually depicted as a young man who’s looking up at the sky. He’s about to walk off the edge of a cliff and has a dog jumping at his feet. The main interpretation is that it’s about potential, innocence, spontaneity, renewal, being a bit naive. It speaks of adventures, new experiences, a new journey. It urges you to believe in yourself, to follow your heart, take a chance and says that anything can happen.
Here are the insects you can choose from for the Fool
(The position and surroundings may be changed to fit better with the meaning of the card.)
Grasshopper. 🙂
Takk Belinda 🙂
I’m going with Butterfly. Even though Grasshoppers have their Aesops fables link. When I see grasshopper I think of their relative the locust, & how devastating it’s destruction can be.
Thanks 🙂 I included the grasshopper because it jumps into the unknown, as does the Flea Beetle.
