Being a multi-passionate, I love to create in many different ways. But I do have some favourite creative tools I use more than others. So I’m going to tell you what they are, as well as a little secret I’ve been keeping 🙂

The tool I’ve been using the longest is the pencil. I’ve been drawing as long as I could hold a pencil, and despite all the different qualities of pencil out there, I mostly use a regular, cheap pencil you can get at any well-stocked store. This particular one had a run-in with a sharpener 🙂

I have many paint brushes, but I have a few I use more than the others. One is great for smaller stuff, one is great for filling areas, and one is good for textures and straight areas.

A camera is something I almost always have with me. If not my old DSLR, then at least the phone, which surpasses the DSLR in terms of resolution, but doesn’t handle light as well.

I have a lot of tools for crafts as well, but I’ll leave it at the art tools for this time. Otherwise, this post will get very long 🙂

My favorite tools for art

As for the secret I’ve been keeping from you…it’s that I have a second Instagram account for my photos. I decided to resurrect the witchy account I had, turn it into a photography profile, and put most of my photos and photo art there. The idea is to prevent my main account from getting flooded with unrelated photos. My main Instagram is mainly an art profile, so it needs to be focused on that, with some personal, behind the scenes here and there.

What are your favorite tools for what you do?

Leave me a comment below and then go play with those tools.

For creative stuff, my own body and some music 😉 And my iPhone camera – I love taking both photos and videos with it.

Taking photos is fun, and so is music and dancing 🙂

I cannot say I have a favourite, but for each type of art there are favourites.

    Congratulations on your restructure.
