My eighty-fifth symbol is a Hedgehog. Hedgehogs have been symbols of renewal and regeneration all the way back to the Upper Paleolithic period. Some also say they represent the uterus. This particular hedgehog was from a Mycenean vase. The texture in the background was created by stamping with different objects covered in fabric.
