Do you think you have to sacrifice quality time with your kid or maybe cut down on something else you enjoy to be able to get some creative time? Let me tell you that you don’t!

Make it easier for yourself by including your kids in your creative projects. Tweet this!  Bring them along, they’ll love it and you’ll have fun together. As a bonus, it also stimulates the creative thinking in your kids, something that’s a great thing for them to have later on.

There’s no need to sacrifice anything important to have time to express yourself creatively. If you feel you have to give something up, then cut down a bit on something you don’t enjoy, like doing a little less housework. Your house won’t fall apart for it.

I’ve decided to make a colouring book that you can use together with your kids, that will be fun for both of you.

It will have a nature theme and the complexity of the pages will be right for both adults and kids. There will also be some hidden objects in the picture that your kids can hunt for. Plus a couple of surprises 🙂

Doesn’t that sound like fun?

I haven’t finished the first page yet but I wanted to get the message out there anyway. If you sign up below, I’ll send you the first page for free as soon as it’s done. The finished colouring book will be available as soon as I’m able to finish it, which will be not too long. I’ve planned to make it a short one, something like 10 pages, to not have it be too much for you and to make it more accessible.

And be the first to hear about it when it’s finished.

I have no kids at home, but I love coloring books. Have a client who just made her first one. This sounds like a great idea, though. My sister was good at always involving her daughter in whatever she was doing. It takes extra time and patience – she said, once you have a kid, there’s no more “just running to the store really quickly.” But I’m sure it’s worth doing!

Great idea … create a coloring book. Spending time with yourself or your kids (if you have them) can be a special time together.

Last night a volunteered to help at an event for kids and was lucky to be assigned a food art table. It is a lot of fun to be creative with kids. Of course, I had to take pictures of their art quickly, before they started eating them.

That’s great! yes it is a lot of fun 🙂 It gives us more room to play than being creative with adults does. I’d love to see some of those pictures

This sounds similar to something I’m working on. Cool to find other people working on similar projects! I just love how relaxing coloring and creating art can be.
