We don’t get much of the bright red and orange in Autumn here in the mountains of Norway. We do get a lot of variations of yellow and brown, with the occasional splash of red.

There are only a few Maples, that were introduced. The only other tree that turns red is the Rowan, and there aren’t that many large ones. Most of the trees around here are Spruce or Birch, which means green and yellow.

I’m not complaining 🙂 It’s beautiful here too. Have a look at these photos and decide for yourself.

Some plants do turn red, like the Blueberry bush, Lady’s Mantle, and Willowherb.
