Even when my pain is worse than usual, on a bad pain day, I still feel the need to express myself, to create something. My sciatica has been acting up lately, and Sunday was really bad (imagine labor pain level sciatica) and all the shops were closed. I wasn’t able to sit stand or lie down properly on Sunday, so I couldn’t make anything. But on the days before and after, I created these eight quick, watercolour postcards for the side swaps following the Liberate Your Art 2016 Postcard Swap. I mailed 6 of them yesterday, to people in the US, Australia and France.
Expressing yourself (in my case art & crafts) takes your mind off whatever is bothering you at that moment.
