I haven’t harvested any of my herbs this year, I’m letting them all go to seed. Why you might ask. Well, because my body hasn’t allowed me to, because of surgery etc, and because my herb bed could do with some more plants.

I’m going to try to find something to fill the holes that still exist next year. But I’ll also have to replant a large stone bed, and dig up an old bed that I’m removing. So I don’t know how much I’ll be able to manage.

If you have any good suggestions for ground cover, whether it’s herbs or stone bed plants, let me know.

But they have to be able to survive in the mountains of Norway. I’m still hoping to be able to pick apples later, but we’ll have to wait and see. The growth season has been very short this year. I’m wishing for a better summer next time.
