Storing

Instructions | HarvestingDrying | Storing

The storage space should be well ventilated, dry, and free from dust and strong odors. Stored herbs should be checked from hour to hour, to see that they haven’t been ruined by mold or fungi.

Flowers

Flowers easily get damp and need special treatment. Heat the jars, place the flowers inside and close the lids. Seal with tape. The jars should be reheated and sealed every hour after they’ve been opened.

Roots

Store in dark, tight pots, well marked. Most roots that are stored this way, can last for years without attracting moisture.

Oils

Oils should be stored in well marked, dark bottles in a dark and cool place. It’s important to keep them out of reach for children, because they may be dangerous to swallow.
