There’s no such thing as too old, even if people have told you that you’re too old for something. Tweet this!

In early July this year, I re-pierced my nose (age 44) after considering doing it for a long time. I first pierced it when I was 17, at home with a safety pin and no ice. Not the smartest thing, I know 😀

When I was around 23, my now husband managed to convince me I was too old to have a nose piercing and I took it out. I now know better, so I put it back in. I re-pierced my nose. I’m at a place now where I will be me no matter what people say, how about you?

I’m not using a full nose ring, I learned that lesson when I was 18 (ouch). The stud I have there now is blue and very discrete but I’ll probably change it for something else later.

What have people convinced you that you’re too old for? Tweet this!

I’m sure he’ll like it now, it looks great!

I’m 46 and just got my first tattoo. All those fictional rules about what to do at what age, are just down to individual perception. Really it’s nobody’s business but your own what you do with your body 🙂

Thanks 🙂 It took a week before he noticed and he said something like “that’s a stupid thing to do unless it was open” 🙂

I love your tattoo 🙂 It’s great. Those rules are silly and very individual. You’re right about that. It is nobody’s business but sometimes it takes a while for women to get there.

I think that’s wonderful Linda. It looks awesome too!

I have been trying to regrow my super long hair i had growing up, most of my adult life. I let too many people convince me along the way that it’s not appropriate for older women. So I’ve cut it frequently for a days worth of praise that quickly turned to regret.

I’m only 39 now (40 in October), so all through my twenties and thirties I was too old for long hair? Anyway I think I’ve finally, at long last, stopped caring what people think about that. Funny thing is, always before when I’d decide to grow it out again after another chop I’d be filled with frustration at how long it’s going to take to reach my goal now. I don’t worry about that now either. I’ll get there when I get there.

Thanks Laurie 🙂 I grew my hair out too, but my shoulders made me cut it. It would have been nice if we’d done that a lot earlier

I am now 41, Over the last three years, I pierced my nose, I have gotten 2 tattoos ( planning a 1/2 sleeve soon.) Chopped my hair into a bob, I died my hair Pink, then purple, now it is Blue. You are never too old to do what you really want to do!

I shaved the sides and back of my head and died it dark and red 🙂 But I’ve been dyeing and cutting since my teens.
      I don’t have a tattoo, but that’s because I haven’t found the one I’d want.

I haven’t taken mine out in years and I’m about to turn 47. You’re never too old, don’t listen to the ignorance of others. It looks great on you. 🙂
